The doorsthe unknown soldier video download free

I kept waiting for the "Mission Accomplished" photo-op to pop up and, sure enough, it does, though later than I expected. An awful lot of Vietnam images for a piece that's, as I understood it, commenting on the Iraq War. That adds a distance when I'm looking for immediacy. And I realize there aren't many images of these past two wars' war dead due to the propaganda clamp down.

That, though, should be addressed directly rather than implicity by the sheer lack of Iraq images. Even just the picture of the flag-draped coffins that got the photographer fired displayed then replaced by "Image Banned by Order of DHS. As for the second half of the video there's nothing much to say. It's a Rage video. Holy cow, Zach looks young. What am I supposed to say? I realize the clip's description says it's an unaltered performance by RATM, but that's dull. I would be more accepting of the Vietnam imagry in the first half if it was contextualized with current war imagry mixed to the RATM video.

Vietnam-era song vs. That doesn't happen. What this clip really does is makes me want to see a video collage set to Stiff Little Fingers' "Tin Soldier" or "Wasted Life" that comments on the backdoor draft and continuing purposelessness of the Iraq war relatively. Any song. Those two just popped into my head. I think the clip has good intentions but it just doesn't deliver.

To the other republican reviewers, screw off. This is a great capture of the full spectrum of emotions of those that oppose these types of imperialist actions; sadness, isolation, anger, etc. Reviewer: psilocyb3r - favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite - September 2, Subject: heh, well with all that said I will try to provide some clarity I myself am only in charge with distributing it on the web and took no part in the creation.

However, the real creators wish to thank everyone who has taken the time to post an actual review be it negative or positive which is what this section is all about of course. Reviewer: cashel - favorite - August 28, Subject: not funny The best form of political attack is humour. Politicians hate it when they are ridiculed. This movie fails because there is no opportunity to laugh. Reviewer: tambora - favorite favorite - August 28, Subject: You seek validation In the past, a review by Tambora meant that a panned, inferior film got lots of downloads.

I viewed this film so late in the game that it already has well over 11, downloads. And you seek validation. I think your tactics have worked so far. But apparently this incredibly high number of downloads is insufficient for an egotistical megalomaniac like yourself. Your message hasn't been silenced. People are just tired of listening to a moron.

This is not the greatest thing available on the archive. It's not in the top ten. It's not even in the top For reasons that I'm about to explain, I put this film pretty close to the bottom.

The film opens with a montage of still shots, nicely edited, with some ironic archive footage spliced in. Gee, I've never seen this before. Golly, we've got a real rebel on our hands. Granted, revisiting a hackneyed genre think late's MTV doesn't necessarily mean failure. But in this case, he relegates himself to an immature stereotypical conspiracy-theory nutjob by splicing in PhotoShopped images of President Bush as a Taliban member and a member of the undead. For one seeking validity, you sure found a way to quickly shed all of it.

You only validate your critics when you resort to shenanigans like that. But the film continues, gets a little better, watchable at least, but breaks no new ground and provides nothing that makes it stand out.

Once again, what can I validate? That you're just another one to jump on the anti-Bush clipfilm bandwagon, or that you're a legitimate artist and political theorist? Those who guessed the former would be right, because it's obvious you've never even dreamed of being the latter. Then, halfway through, after copyright infringement in the form of a clip from Forrest Gump and a gratuitous and pointless shot of an atomic bomb exploding from A Tale of Two Cities, which is actually a good film , the film degenerates into an insipid music video featuring some self-important rockers performing a tediously outraged song.

The lead singer jumps around a lot and wears a shirt with a parody of the "Ford" logo, replacing "ord" with "uct. Here again, you only validate your own lack of seriousness, lack of legitimacy as an artist and filmmaker, and lack of maturity. But any astute viewer could've already gathered that based on your bombastic ego-inflated "MPD" reviews and lack of maturity in all other aspects of life. When people come to the Archive and post a film, they always think they did a good job on it.

Then, if they're reasonably self-controlled, they wait for people to notice it, and if it actually is a good film, people will notice it, review it well, and download it.

That's how it works. Perhaps your childish tactics have garnered you some attention, and perhaps I'm validating your puerile methods through this lengthy review. It's a risk I'm willing to take. But the truth remains that this isn't that great of a film, it's not worth downloading, and your whiny juvenile approach to this entire process has only helped me decide, and confirmed my decision, that this film is loud-mouthed, base, irrelevant, moronic, banal, artless drivel.

That's all there is to say about it. Now just shut up. Stop hitting yourself, stop whining about it and stop trashing everybody else. You are NOT the master of the universe, much less god of the archive. I'm turned off by your tactics and so I have not watched your movie but graded you for your display of disrespect to everybody and everything here. Note: You prove your dishonesty by making baseless accusations against a member of the archives.

This is a handy tactic for a coward. You protest too loudly my mpd friend. Stop the Conspiracy against me! My message can't be stopped! First the search engine blacklist and now this. I am getting sick and tired of being the only person to give this movie any views. This movie is the greatest thing here! It is relevant, important and a timeless masterpiece! When I see the other garbage you people watch it makes me want to retch.
